Rowdy 9th Birthday

🎣🎂 NINE YEARS OLD! 🎂🎣

I got to step behind the camera for someone extra special — our son, celebrating his 9th birthday.

Of course I had to sneak in a few birthday portraits, but some of my favorite photos from the weekend are the ones that weren’t planned at all.

The candid moments from his birthday party, the smiles, and especially getting to capture him fishing with his dad.  There’s just something about photographing the little in-between moments that makes me love what I do even more.

The posed photos are beautiful, but these are the pictures I know we’ll look back on years from now and remember exactly what this season of life felt like.
